Josue Pandales  > Other > Bio

--Throughout the years, the act of capturing the moment has become one of the driving forces in my live. It makes me feel in such a way that very few things can achieve to do so. Specially during these last few years, photography has become the glue that put together several different facets of my life.

It was printed in me since very early in my life. My dad used to have a vintage semi pro Pentax and the first time I saw it, I instantly knew I wanted to learn how to use it. Both my dad and my uncle were serious amateur photographers during their years in high school.

Although, my very first camera didn’t come until when I was perhaps eight or nine years old. It was a 24mm camera, one of those on sale on a bright yellow color, almost a toy camera, but that was my first camera. I remember shooting perhaps two or three rolls with it. But then again, never had the money to develop it.

Photography has become a passion like with so many others and my real intention with it is to glorify God. He has embeded that passion in me and I want to do it for Him. Somebody once said “Christ is most glorified in us, when we are more satisfied in Him”. Every little thing that I enjoy doing like watching a sunrise, or people’ faces and reactions I owe it to Him, because I can use all my senses to perceive and enjoy those details of the creation that we take for granted.

Those who are blind can not see and enjoy so many things, I do and I want to be grateful every day for the things I have seen. When I go back into my photo albums and I can see those moments frozen in a piece of paper or in the screen of a computer, I can see where I’ve been to, thank God for it and be expectant of where He is about to take me. It just feel me with joy and I do feel some sort of satisfaction.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.
